TGIF!!!

Remember... NO school next week for Fall break! (September 24-28) So please don't wait for the bus or pull up to Addison 😂

I would LOVE to see pictures of what your child does over the break. It can be anything -- reading their favorite book, going to the beach, going to the park, visiting their grandparents -- anything at all! If you take any pictures, please print them out and send them to school with your child or email them to me and I will show them to the class. I want them to be able to show the class what they did over the break! 😊

Have a wonderful break! 💗

Today was Science Lab day!!! The students did a STEM activity where they worked with a partner to create a shelter for a rubber ducky using various materials of their choice. They had to make sure that the shelter would protect the rubber ducky from "rain." There were several successful shelters! 😁

In Math, the students played the Race to 120 game with a partner. They each took turns rolling the dice, and whatever number they landed on, they had to color in that many squares on their answer sheet. Whoever made it to 120 first won 😊

We use GoNoodle for brain breaks everyday to get the students up and moving during the long stretch of morning when they are stuck with me in the classroom 😜 Go Noodle has a special brain break dance out for Small Foot (the new movie coming out) called "Do the Yeti" and I think today was maybe the 10th time they have asked to dance to it 😂 luckily the song is cute and I don't mind listening to it on repeat!

For Language Arts, we went to the computer lab and the students went on Bookflix. They picked a pair of two books - one fiction and one nonfiction. They read each book and they had to determine which book was fiction and which book was nonfiction. The students enjoyed reading books about animals 😄

For math, the students did a number line scoot today where each time I said "scoot!" they rotated seats. They were practicing finding missing numbers on number lines. They enjoyed moving around!
