Good morning and happy Monday!
We have officially made it to the last couple days of the school year! Of course I will not be giving any assignments this week, but feel free to have your child use any online resources or keep up their reading. Or of course -- just relax!! Thank you so much for all of your time and commitment to digital learning. I'm sure it wasn't easy for you all to adjust to it but you really did an amazing job. Thank you again!
I will be having a final zoom meeting for the year probably either tomorrow or Wednesday so make sure to look out for the link I will be sending when I figure out a good time. If your child still has a memory book to share, they should bring it to the meeting. :)
Just a reminder that today is the PARADE!!! Rain or shine, we will be there! The first grade team and I will be there from 2:00-3:00, but we ask to try to come at your designated time to avoid heavy traffic. My time is 2:30-2:45. I hope to see you all there! :)

Happy Monday, everyone! We are coming up to the end of the year, so this week's activities will consist of only a few activities. :) However, you are welcome to have your child continue with Dreambox, Raz-Kids, Epic, etc. as well.
Also, just a reminder that this Thursday, May 14, you will be able to come to the school and pick up your child's belongings. An email was sent about it, but here is the information in case you didn't see it:
Families will be able to pick up their child’s personal belongings on Thursday, May 14. Teachers will be placing your child’s items in a bag labeled with their name. These bags will be placed by classroom in the cafeteria. You will be assigned a specific time to pick up your child’s items based on last name. In order to ensure a safe environment, individuals will be required to wear a mask and only a small number of people will be able to enter the building at a time. Families will be entering the building from the front entrance, walking to the cafeteria to retrieve items, and exiting the building at the bus port.
Pickup times:
9am-10am Last Names A-E
10am-11am Last Names F-K
11am-12pm Last Names L-R
12pm-1pm Last Names S-Z
Although we miss everyone and would love to have the opportunity to visit with our Addison Families, teachers and staff will not be available. We are asking that people follow social distancing guidelines and stay at least 6 ft apart from others while waiting to enter the building. Also, our school is still closed, including all other areas of the building and playgrounds.
To help make this process as easy as possible, please plan on coming to school at your assigned time. If you are unable to come at that time, we will be open on Friday, May 15, from 9am-11am for any remaining families to retrieve items. All items not picked up by 11am on Friday will be donated or discarded.
Assignment for Monday, May 11th:
-Writing: Please write a thank you note to one or more of our amazing Science Lab volunteers! You can drop the notes off at school when you come to pick up your belongings in the cafeteria. Mrs. Knobbe will collect the notes on Friday and then send them to each of our amazing volunteers!
Our volunteers were:
Mr. and Mrs. Edwards (Mama T and Papa C)
Mrs. Ashley
Mr. Singletary
Mrs. Maddox
