Thank you again for attending your child's conference last week. It meant a lot to me, and I know your child enjoyed sharing their progress with you. Thank you for all of your time and effort to helping your child succeed!

I hope everyone had a wonderful, fun weekend! I think it has actually skipped from Summer to Winter 😂 Fall is my favorite season and I hope that you all are able to enjoy the Fall festivities!

What is your child learning this week?

Math: We will be continuing graphing with fun Halloween graphing activities. Last week we talked about who in the class is afraid of spiders and graphed the data. This week we will be talking about their favorite candy and voting between pumpkins and bats. We will be getting deeper into graphs by asking questions about the data.

Science/Social Studies: The students are going to the Science Lab on Thursday!

Language Arts/Daily 5/Writing: The phonics focus for the week is Long I words. In Language Arts, we will be introducing nouns and verbs. We will also be working more on retelling stories (character, setting, beginning, middle, and end). For writing, we are writing Halloween stories 😊 We are continuing to do Daily 5 rotations. The students seem to be very comfortable with rules and routines for Daily 5! It took a lot of practice but we are finally there.
