What is your child learning this week?

Math: We are starting 1 more and 1 less than a number.

Phonics: The phonics focus this week is long e digraphs
Spelling words: meal, speed, three, sleep, clean, reach

ELA/Daily 5:   In Daily 5, we are continuing with Daily 5 rotations (Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing, and Listen to Reading).

Writing: We will be writing about a hero in our lives.

Science/Social Studies: For Social Studies, we are starting Lewis and Clark and Sacagawea. We are going to Science Lab this week for our Winter walk.

ELA/Daily 5:  In ELA,  we are learning about author's reasons that support a text. In Daily 5, we are continuing with Daily 5 rotations (Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing, and Listen to Reading).

Writing: We will be writing about Thomas Jefferson.

Science/Social Studies: For Social Studies, we are wrapping up Thomas Jefferson. For Science, we are going to the Science Lab!
