What is your child learning this week?

Math: We are starting 10 more and 10 less than a number.

Phonics: The phonics focus this week is long i digraphs
Spelling words: pie, fine, sigh, tie, high, might, good, know, line, more

ELA/Daily 5:   In Daily 5, we are continuing with Daily 5 rotations (Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing, and Listen to Reading).

Writing: We will be starting opinion writing.

Science/Social Studies: For Social Studies, we are continuing Lewis and Clark and Sacagawea.

*Reminders:
- Penny Wars start January 13 and go until January 24. Have your child bring in some pennies to put in our bucket.The winning grade earns a popsicle party!
