🌍 Earth Day STEM project 🌍
·       In celebration of Earth Day, I am asking your child to create a “recycle craft” using materials that you may be getting rid of or throwing away. Please assist your child in his/her creation,but try to let your child do the bulk of the work and creative design. This is a great opportunity for some awesome bonding time!  Please search the internet as needed for ideas on recycled projects. Please have your child write about their project. It should include the name of their project, the recycled materials used to make it, the steps taken to create it, and what it will be used for. Have your project available to explain during one of our next Zoom meetings.

Thank you for your support and for encouraging your child to love our world.

Good morning students and parents,

I hope this Monday meets everyone feeling safe, healthy, and happy! This weeks activities will continue to include spelling words/phonics, math, reading, writing, social studies, and additionally an Earth Day STEM on Wednesday! You will notice that some activities will have “(Assessment)” written after the subject title. All teachers have been asked to continue taking grades on the standards that can be appropriately completed and reviewed digitallyWhat this means is that if your child works hard to complete the assignment correctly, they will receive a 3 on their report card. All students are still expected to complete each daily assignment as they have been planned to help continue your child's preparation for second grade. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Also, you should have received an email inviting you to join Epic. This is an additional reading website with a LARGE range of books! We have free access to it until June 30! Yay! This might be a nice change for the students if they are getting tired of Raz-Kids. :) Let me know if you need me to resend the invite to join or if you are having trouble.
