What is your child learning this week?

Math: We are finishing adding two numbers with/without regrouping, and working on Dr. Seuss word problems for Read Across America week.

Phonics: The phonics focus this week is variant vowel ar.
Spelling words: fair, dare, pear, square, chair, wear, made, other, said, than

ELA/Daily 5:  For ELA, we are practicing various concepts using Dr. Seuss books (compare/contrast adventures and experiences of characters, determining who is telling the story, retelling the story, etc.). In Daily 5, we are continuing with Daily 5 rotations (Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing, and Listen to Reading).

Writing: We will be continuing opinion writing using Dr. Seuss books.

Science/Social Studies: None this week
